When the new season tickets details were first announced a change to the way the South Stand seating arrangement was put In place.
After many supporters voiced that they wanted to keep the existing arrangements, the Club have had a re-think and are now reverting back to the seating plan arrangement that has been in place for the past eight years.
The Club announcement reads:
Wigan Athletic can confirm that after consultation with a number of supporters a decision has been made to return to a reserved seating plan in the South Stand for next season.
It had been originally planned that the stand would offer unreserved seating for supporters, but concerns raised since the announcement was made has led to a reversal on the new idea, and we are now happy to offer the same scheme that has run for the past eight years.
Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson said:
“We have listened to our supporters and although we were trying to be flexible, it is clear that our family Season Ticket Holders in the South Stand preferred the previous system of having their own seat reserved for each game, and we are more than happy to accommodate them in making the South Stand a reserved seating stand next season.”
Season Tickets are now on sale, offering unrivalled value for money to watch Latics compete in 23 Championship fixtures and three Europa League ties in the 2013/14 campaign.
