A lot of interest in ticket prices was drummed up and highlighted before Christmas, due mainly to the increase in Category for the Leeds United game and therefore a £36/£41 price for watching football.
The FSF has been campaigning for a maximum price for away tickets to be £20 and generally Wigan has always been around that point or cheaper, the 20s Plenty Campaign though needs to be backed more for other Clubs to see the benefits to the Club and their Town/City from having more away fans at their games.
Fans are very quick to comment when there seems to be an injustice, but very quiet when the opposite happens. To that end we should applaud Clubs that are allowing away fans to visit their grounds for £20 or less and Birmingham City have fallen into this Category.
Ticket prices for the game this weekend are £20 for adults and as low as £5 for kids:
Gil Merrick Lower Stand (reserved seating behind the goal)
Adults – £20.00
Over 65 years – £15.00
Student – £15.00**
Under 19 years – £10.00*
Under 13 years – £5.00*
Ambulant/Disabled Same as relevant age (includes free carer if eligible)
Well done Birmingham, lets hope more teams follow our lead.
